How to Download All Your GoPro Plus Videos at Once

Naming note: GoPro renamed its cloud service — "GoPro Plus" became the GoPro Subscription in 2020 and has been called GoPro Premium since February 2024. This guide keeps the classic name many subscribers still search for; everything here applies to today's GoPro Premium.

2026 Guide · Updated April 2026 · ~7 min read

You uploaded years of footage to GoPro Plus. Now you want it back on a hard drive — fast, organized, and without clicking Download on every single clip. Here's how to actually do it in 2026, including which official tools work, where they fall short, and the bulk approach that finishes years of media in minutes.

Why bulk-downloading from GoPro Plus is harder than it should be

GoPro Plus is great for offloading clips off your camera and your phone — that part is automatic. The problem starts when you want your media back: maybe you're switching to a new backup strategy, you're considering canceling the subscription, or you simply want a permanent archive on a local drive instead of trusting the cloud forever.

The official GoPro Plus website lets you download files, but only one at a time, or in zip batches that cap out at relatively small sizes. If you have hundreds — or thousands — of clips spanning years of adventures, the manual approach turns into a multi-day chore: open the cloud, click a clip, click Download, wait, repeat. Browsers crash. Sessions time out. ZIPs come down half-corrupted. By the time you're a hundred files in, you start wondering whether the cloud was supposed to be the convenient option.

There are better paths. Below are the three approaches that actually work in 2026, ordered from "free but slow" to "paid once and done."

Method 1 — GoPro Cloud (the official web download)

Sign in to plus.gopro.com, find your media library, select clips, and choose Download. The browser packages the selection into a ZIP and delivers it.

Pros: Free with your existing GoPro Plus subscription. No extra tools.

Cons: The selection-cap and ZIP-size limits make large libraries painful. You'll batch in 50-clip chunks, wait for each ZIP, and unzip manually. There's no resume if a download fails. There's no way to filter by date range or camera. And you'll be doing this for the rest of the weekend.

Use this method if you have under 50 clips total, or if you only want a recent batch (last week's trip, for example).

Method 2 — Quik Desktop (limited but official)

GoPro's Quik Desktop app can pull some media from the cloud, but its core job is editing — not bulk downloading. You'll find that the cloud-sync features are oriented around showing recent media, not exporting entire libraries.

Pros: Native GoPro tool, free.

Cons: Not designed for bulk export. Hard to filter or organize during download. Quik has been refocused several times over the years and the cloud-pull functionality varies by version. If you've tried it and bounced off, you're not alone.

Use this if you mostly edit in Quik anyway and want occasional cloud-pulls on small batches. For an actual archive, keep reading.

Method 3 — Fetch It! (the bulk solution)

Fetch It! is a desktop app for Windows and Mac that does two jobs on top of your GoPro Plus subscription:

  1. Bulk uploads to GoPro Plus — always free, always unlimited. Point Fetch It! at a folder of clips and it pushes them all to your cloud. No cap, no premium tier, no monkey-business. This is the side that's free for everyone, forever.
  2. Bulk downloads from GoPro Plus — 100 free, then $9.99 unlocks unlimited forever. This is the bulk-archive-to-disk side, which is what this guide is about.

Most people install Fetch It! for the *free unlimited uploads* — offloading clips off a phone or SD card to GoPro Plus is faster and more reliable through Fetch It! than through a browser or the Quik app — and discover the bulk-download side after. Both directions live in one app, one install. The upload side is the entry point; the download side is what most people come back for.

Step-by-step: bulk-download your GoPro Plus library with Fetch It!

  1. Install Fetch It! — Windows users: from the Microsoft Store or the direct EXE on our pricing page. Mac users: grab the DMG from the pricing page.
  2. Open the app and sign in to GoPro Plus with your existing GoPro account credentials. Fetch It! uses GoPro's official authentication — your password never leaves the secure login window.
  3. Choose a destination folder. Pick somewhere with plenty of free space. If you're worried about running out, configure a spillover drive too — Fetch It! will automatically continue onto the second drive if the first fills up.
  4. (Optional) Set a date filter. If you only want recent footage, pick "this year" or a custom date range. If you want everything, leave it open.
  5. Click Fetch. The app queues your entire matching library and starts downloading. You'll see a progress view with file counts and bone-drop animations because we couldn't help ourselves.
  6. Walk away. Fetch It! handles the rest — downloading, verifying, auto-extracting any ZIPs, and organizing files into date-based folders. Come back when it's done.
  7. Verify and back up. Once Fetch It! reports complete, your media is on your local drive in clean folders. Back it up to a second drive or off-site storage at your leisure.

On a typical broadband connection, a library of a few hundred clips finishes in under an hour. Multi-thousand-clip libraries take longer mostly because of the actual data transfer — that ceiling is set by your internet, not the tool.

What about the GoPro Plus subscription itself?

Fetch It! does not change anything about your GoPro Plus subscription. You still need an active subscription to authenticate to the cloud and pull your files. If you're planning to cancel GoPro Plus and want to make sure your library is safe locally first, the standard order of operations is:

  1. Bulk-download everything with Fetch It! while your subscription is still active.
  2. Verify the local copy is complete and readable.
  3. Back up to a second drive or cloud provider of your choice.
  4. Then decide what you want to do with the GoPro Plus subscription.

FAQ

Is Fetch It! affiliated with GoPro?

No. Fetch It! is a third-party companion app made by Knight Tech Studios. It uses GoPro's official authentication and APIs to access your media on your behalf, but it's not endorsed by, affiliated with, or supported by GoPro.

Does Fetch It! work without a GoPro Plus subscription?

You need an active GoPro Plus subscription to access cloud media at all — that's a GoPro requirement, not ours. Fetch It! is the bulk-download tool on top of your existing subscription.

Will Fetch It! delete my cloud media after downloading?

No. Fetch It! is download-only by default. It pulls copies to your local drive and leaves your cloud library untouched. If you want to clean up your cloud after archiving, you do that yourself through GoPro's own tools.

Is there a Mac or Linux version?

Yes — a Mac DMG is available alongside the Windows builds. Linux (AppImage) is coming soon. If you're on Mac, head to the pricing page for the download. If you're on Linux and want to be notified when the AppImage ships, bookmark our homepage and check back.

How does the 100-free-download trial work?

You can install Fetch It! and download up to 100 individual files for free, no payment required. That's enough to verify the tool works on your library before committing $9.99. After 100 downloads, you'll be prompted to purchase a Personal License or Enterprise License. Uploads back to GoPro Plus are always free and unlimited — the cap only applies to downloads.

Is the $9.99 Personal License a subscription?

No. The Personal License is a one-time payment for unlimited downloads forever on the device you activate it on. We're explicitly not running a subscription model for Fetch It!.

What if my download is interrupted?

Fetch It! supports resume. If your internet drops or your computer goes to sleep mid-download, the app picks up where it left off when you restart. You won't lose progress on a multi-hour download.

The short version

If you have a small batch — fewer than 50 clips — the official GoPro Plus website is fine. Click, wait, repeat, you're done in an afternoon.

If you have a serious library and you want it all on a hard drive without sacrificing your weekend, that's what we built Fetch It! for. The first 100 downloads are free, so the cost of finding out whether it works on your library is exactly zero. After that, $9.99 once and you never think about cloud-export friction again.
